These terms govern your use of the HourKeep app for iOS. By downloading or using the app you agree to them.
What HourKeep is
HourKeep is a personal record of the hours you work: it times your shifts, adds up your hours and estimates your pay from the rate and rules you enter. It is your own record and an estimate — it is not payroll software, not an employer system of record, and it is not legal, tax or financial advice.
Your pay is between you and your employer
Overtime presets and rounding rules are conveniences based on common thresholds; laws, contracts and company policy differ and change. Check the figures against your payslip and your contract before relying on them in a dispute. We are not responsible for pay decisions made from the app's estimates.
Subscriptions
The optional Premium subscription (monthly or yearly) unlocks several jobs, PDF timesheets, overtime and rounding rules, tips and extra amounts, the other widgets and the extra reminders. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel them any time in your App Store account settings. Both prices are shown side by side in the app before you buy.
What stays free
One job, unlimited shifts and history, the timer with its Lock Screen view, the calendar, period totals and CSV export stay free. Your hours are never locked behind the paywall — if a subscription ends, every job's history stays visible, editable and exportable.
Your data
Your jobs, shifts, breaks and notes are stored on your device only. Deleting the app deletes them. HourKeep has no accounts and no server-side copy, so we cannot restore anything for you — export your data or keep your device backed up if you need a copy.
Acceptable use
HourKeep is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use on Apple devices you own or control, under the standard Apple licensed-application terms.
No warranty
HourKeep is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. The date above shows the current version; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
